Apple classical music won’t play

I have a trial subscription to Apple Music and downloaded the Classical Music app. I can’t seem to play any selections.. like, if I try and select any of the Apple playlists and press play, nothing happens. The play timer advances like is it playing, but no audio. Occasionally, if I press the next track button, the next track will play and I can hear audio. However, if I press next track again, nothing happens and the music from the previous track continues.

this behavior is just with the classical music app… the Apple Music app and all other music apps I have work fine. Just seems to be an issue with the classical music app.

Surely the people who write the software and build the machines to run it should be able to write better more stable software? Spotify had been perfect for over 10 years no problems.

Hello Pauledu,

First ensure that the device being used is on the latest iOS version, as that'll help to quickly ensure all of the latest improvements and fixes are applied to it: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Then, try disconnecting any accessories that are currently connected to the device, and turn off Bluetooth from Settings > Bluetooth to rule out any conflicts there as well.

If it still persists it may help to try a standard restart of the device as that'll give it a quick refresh, which can sometimes resolve different types of issues: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If nothing above has helped, uninstalling the Apple Music Classical app, and then re-downloading may also be able to help out.
