Safari history disappears

Sometimes when I click on the "History" item in my Safari menubar, it comes up empty. And then a little later it returns. Anyone know what's up with this?

Safari not clearing history when closing private window Not all the time and not every web site or private window, but often enough to be annoying. I first noticed the behavior in 12.4; it continued in 12.5 and now in 12.5.1. There was even one occasion when the history could not be deleted manually (History -> Clear History). That time, after a restart, the history items were (automatically) deleted. Logging off and back on has no affect. Any ideas?

Can't clear all history in Safari Over the past week I've been unable to clear all of my history in Safari. Each day has 1-5 random sites that remain after I do a total "clear history." Anyone have a similar problem and solution?

Private windows do not log history. What happens when you ask to Show All History (⌘Y)?

It's not a private window. I know about private windows.

I shows the history if I do Show All History (⌘Y). But not on the dropdown.
