Updates: I have a Mac OS Monterey....I am getting alerts that there is now a software update for macOS Ventura 13.4...!! So do I now have a Ventura ???

Why is my update listed as being a "macOS Ventura 13.4.1...when I have a mac Monterey ???

How to check for updates Prior to Ventura I checked for OS updates by going APPLE>About this Mac. When I do that in Ventura there is no button to click to check for updates. How do you check for updates in Ventura?

Just for correctness - an update is for the Existing version of macOS 12 Monterey. Like macOS 12.6.6 to macOS 12.6.7

What you are seeing is an upGrade as in moving from previous version of macOS Monterey to Current version of macOS 13 Ventura

Would suggest doing a Time Machine Backup Before upGrading

Also, suggest having at least 50 GB of Empty Space.

This will be needed for the Full Version of Ventura ( about 12.xx GB ) to download, Expand and only then commence the installation process

If you have a Mac running Monterey, it means you can upgrade to the latest version of macOS, which is Ventura 13.4.1.
