Model numbers and serial numbers can be copied. And routinely are copied.


Contact the retailer, and ask them.


If these AirPods were not purchased from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller, it’s quite possible they’re counterfeit. If purchased from an online marketplace or grey market, it’s unfortunately more likely that they're counterfeit.

There are some folks that report the firmware reports itself as A3000 on legitimate devices:

There are other reports with A3000 model that appear to be counterfeits.


In short, nobody knows whether any particular AirPods or AirPods Pro are real, or are fake.


And nobody here can tell which is which remotely.
