My 2 month old Mac Mini lost its Start up chime. The Diagnostic test shows no damage to the computer. Is there a way to clear the nvram in terminal on an M2 Mac? I've tried everything else and the Genius Bar visit I had showed no problems. They want to put a new speaker in it, but the speaker works.

The boot chime enabling on its own seems to be an intermittent occurrence and is not a feature of your Mac. IOW: You should not be getting a boot chime.
B. Retting the NVRAM on a M2 Mac:

No. Resetting the NVRAM is only a feature available to Intel-based Macs.

Back when I had Big Sur I lost the chime but it came back when I updated to Monterey.
