A server with the specified hostname could not be found. Hi There. I have seen this question posted before but everything I have tried in past suggestions have failed. This problem only affects apple products such as news, App Store & music (no content downloads). My WIFI displays “no internet connection” but I can access all internet sites apart from Apple related products. Have tried all reboots, restarts, updates, disconnections of router, all iPhone resets (including reset network settings), uninstalling & reinstalling. This problem only appeared 3/4 weeks ago, no idea why🫣☹️ Any suggestions apart from above appreciated. Cheers.

Cannot Change DNS i went to System Prefrences -> Network -> Wifi -> Advanced -> DNS, then tried to press the “+” button to change my DNS, but the plus symbol is grayed out. All of the WiFi settings are grayed out, actually. It won’t let me change anything, does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hello cortney107,

Could you check and see if this support page helps solve your problems - Change DNS settings on Mac - Apple Support? Long story short, there is a problem with the DNS server you're currently using. This prevents you from accessing websites because the DNS server cannot resolve the IP address.
