I received an alert that 'My Photo Stream' will be shut down. I do not see a 'My Photo Stream' album on my Mac, but I do see one on my iPhone. But if I have the same photos in the 'Recents' Album that are in the 'My Photo Stream' album (on my iPhone), do I need to do anything? Aren't they already on my devise memory?

According to Apple:
"If you already have iCloud Photos enabled on all of your devices, you don't need to do anything else — your photos already sync to iCloud. To check, on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > your name > iCloud. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click your name, then click iCloud. Make sure that it says "On" next to Photos on each of your devices."
Make sure this setting is toggled on for all of your Apple devices and you should be all set! If all the photos within My Photo Stream are also within Recents, you should be set as well! But I would verify the above setting is toggled on just to be sure.
