Apple has started the offer after i received my mac. plus i've made the purchase through the education discount. so is it eligible?

I would assume that you would contact Apple Sales like you did when your purchased your Mac that you are using for school. Alternately, you can contact Apple Support directly for assistance. To do so, simply select the "Support" link on the lower left-hand side of this forum's web page.
