Can i use maps offline

Is there any way to download a section of the map to be accessible offline?

Offline Maps is a feature which has been announced for iOS 17.

How can I use Maps offline on iPhone 12 mini? Is it just me ? I just do not find how to VIEW offline maps in the new Maps App. I can download the maps I want, but once offline I have not found a way to VIEW them when I choose them in my list of downloaded maps. Please add Offline Map Downloads (Apple Maps) The main reason I use Google Maps is because I can download a portion of the map to use offline, so it works without using mobile data. It works just like the normal mode but without live traffic. It’ll still reroute me if I miss an exit though. If Apple maps had this same feature, I’d use it 100% of the time.

Apple Maps satellite view in CarPlay Is it possible to see satellite view of Apple Maps in CarPlay ? google has it for long time but can not figure out how to do it with apple maps.
