Why are my airpods just refusing to connect, they’re fully charged and i’m updated to the lastest update but it just won’t connect, on find my iphone it says airpods setup incomplete.

What to do: If you get an alert in the Find My app that your AirPods setup is incomplete - Apple Support

Great that you have the latest iOS 16.5 update!

(If needed: the firmware on the AirPods can then be updated automatically when paired)


As well as your AirPods needing to be well-charged:

they need to be in discovery mode. (flashing white) in order to pair.


If you haven't already, you might want to try wearing your AirPods, 

and 

on iPhone: Try Settings > Bluetooth > tap "Not Connected"

If you still need help pairing, try working through any of these trouble-shooting tips you haven't yet tried:


Sometimes restarting the iPhone restores order, if the AirPods have been pairing ok before.

You might want to check that you are only connecting AirPods to one device at a time.

(Eg may not be switching between multiple devices.)


      See if turn off / turn on bluetooth helps

      or

      Switch your AirPods to another device - Apple Support
