Virus Barrier Scanner claims XProtect Remediator Genieo is infected


Not sure where to go from here... Running 13.4.1 on a Mac Studio M1 Max

Your add-on anti-malware app is reporting a false positive; is grumbling that the built-in anti-malware and malware removal tooling is aware of Genieo. That the built-in tools are aware of Genieo is unsurprising, of course.


Where to go: Remove the add-on anti-malware app, or check for signature updates and then log a bug report against the add-on anti-malware app with the app vendor.
