Your add-on anti-malware app is reporting a false positive; is grumbling that the built-in anti-malware and malware removal tooling is aware of Genieo. That the built-in tools are aware of Genieo is unsurprising, of course.

Where to go: Remove the add-on anti-malware app, or check for signature updates and then log a bug report against the add-on anti-malware app with the app vendor.

Just stating a fact. AV software on a Mac is truly useless. See my longer response here.

The useless AV software is flagging OS installed software as a threat.

The fix is to uninstall the useless AV software and never install such junk again.

It's part of Apple's own X-Protect system, which Virus Barrier is flagging as Genieo for no reason other than Genieo is part of the file name. Or, in typical computer vernacular, a false positive.
