Reversing workspace navigation direction from keyboard
Hi,
macOS Monterey v: 12.3.1
13" 2020 M1 Macbook pro
This issue only pertains to switching workspaces from the keyboard (via ctrl -> arrow key or whatever shortcut).
Say you have N workspaces: 1, 2, 3, ... N - 1, N
When starting in any workspace between (but not including) 1 or N, you can initiate a workspace switch in either direction (which will start the sliding animation in that direction) and immediately reverse the switching direction by pressing the opposite arrow, even if the animation is still playing in the direction you first started in.
When starting from workspaces 1 or N (the end workspaces), no matter how many workspaces you scroll over (by pressing the arrow key), if you wish to reverse the direction, you must wait for the animation to finish playing (a workspace is fully switched to), before you can reverse the direction and go back.
Say you have 6 workspaces, starting in 1 and looking for one, you quickly tap the right arrow key till you see the one you want, but too late you already pressed it again, so you must wait for the next workspace to become focused before pressing the left arrow to go back.
This is extremely frustrating when rapidly switching through workspaces and passing over the one you wanted as you must wait for the animation to stop before you can go back. Which results in repeatedly mashing the reverse arrow for 1.5 seconds.
Again this only pertains to the keyboard... the trackpad does not have this issue...
Help is hugely appreciated, I hate this bug.
Thanks
