I want to add an app to my home screen, but when I tap it in the app library, I don't get an option to add it to the home screen (only delete or share). How can I add the app to my home screen?

Just drag it out. Long-hold the app until it starts to wiggle, then drag it to the location of your choice on your iPhone.
