One USB-C port not functioning on 13inch MB Air Intel 2018 model

One of the USB-C ports is not functioning on my 13 inch MB Air Intel 2018 model. I tried resetting the SMC as instructed on another post, no success. The port does not work for charging or for connecting an external disc. I therefore have only a single working USB-C port ... and no other means of charging!


My MB Air is no longer in AppleCare support.


If it's hardware, is this an inexpensive repair?


Or any other suggestions?

I have a similar issue with my intel a1932 Air. Won't charge in the port nearest the hinge, and won't mount a thumb drive in the same port. The other port seems to work without issues. I've used compressed air to blow out the faulty port. This alert appears when I insert the thumb drive:
