Cannot delete apps from my iphone 13

I am unable to delete apps from my iphone 13. When I hold down on the app, I get the the options to "Edit home screen, share app and remove app". After clicking remove app, it comes up with "Remove from home screen" or "cancel".

I have been through several other threads on here where the main advice was to access screen time and make sure allow is on for deleting apps. it was already on "allow" on my phone - however, just to be sure, I turned it to "don't allow", then back to "allow", then restarted my phone and it is still on "allow" and yet I am still unable to delete the app from my phone.

I also followed advice from another thread to go to iphone storage and delete from there but I can't delete anything there.

Any other suggestions?

Wondering whether you are wanting to delete third-party (non-Apple) Apps, or Apple's "built-in" apps.

For third party (non-Apple) apps: you may be able to download and use the uninstaller from the developer.

For Apple's "built-in" Apps: See if the apps you want to delete are listed as apps that can be deleted (link below)
