Sharing Wi-Fi with another Apple iPhone

What do you do if the prompt does not come up to share the Wi-Fi password even after restarting?

Both phones have hotspot turned off, Bluetooth is on and Wi-Fi is on.

"Share WiFi password" keeps coming up for an old network I'm at home with my phone and laptop connected to my home WiFi. Yet every time I try to do anything on my phone, I must first close a screen asking me if I'd like to share a WiFi password from an old network with my laptop. That WiFi is miles away. Nothing is connected to it. I've rebooted my phone. I don't want to turn off the option to share a WiFi password, I just want that option to work correctly and maybe stop asking 37 straight times. Cannot check wifi password on iPhone Had a problem recently where I couldn’t see my connected WIFI’s password. My brother was able to see through his iPhone, but not me. Turns out problem was with the way I joined that wifi at the beginning. I hadn’t written the password to join wifi, instead it was shared by someone else through bluetooth share password option. That’s why I was never able to see the password, but after forgetting it and re-joining by manually typing the password, i could see it. Idea is that if you never knew the password (joined through someone else sharing), you do not have right to check it.

How to share your Wi-Fi password

Make sure that your device (the one sharing the password) is unlocked and connected to the Wi-Fi network.
Select the Wi-Fi network on the device you want to connect.
On your device, tap Share Password, then tap Done.
