Facebook links shared with me in messenger Will not open

I am having the same problem - With the latest update to 16.5 my iPad Pro will not open Facebook links shared with me in messenger. The Facebook app opens to the home page and that's it. It will not go to the link sent to me in messenger.

I am using IOS 16.5.1 and the most current versions of Messenger and Facebook on my iPad Air and this has been happening for about a week.
