Updating an old iPad without iTunes
I am trying to set up a never before used iPad that is asking me to connect it to a computer with iTunes, but iTunes doesn't exist anymore. How do I update?

iTunes does indeed still exist for Windows and for Mac. Newer versions of MacOS (Catalina and newer) no longer use iTunes but it is still being used on other computers.
Devices with old versions of iOS May need to update via iTunes. That’s not unheard of.
