Frozen screen

My iPhone X screen stopped responding, is totally frozen.

I can't slide, or click from anywhere in the screen.

I tried DFU mode, connected it to iTunes and upgraded the software, but when I tried again to open it, it didn't work.

The prompt keeps on telling me to restore but I don't wanna do that because I'm afraid I'm gonna lose everything.

Some people have told me to replace the screen, others said that it's a kind of glitch or issue from that particular model, I just dunno what to do at this point.

This is my 2nd phone, not my main phone, but I still need it to come back to life, what can I do?

Yes, you have no choice but to lose everything. Backups must occur before catastrophes. After a catastrophe it’s too late.

Try this. It’s very unlikely, but maybe you’ll get lucky.

Thank you sberman, I did try that, and DFU mode, and I did the update while connected to the computer, but nothing worked.

The weird thing is that the screen is not black, I can actually see the wallpaper with the time, the slider, date, and everything else on the screen working perfectly fine up until I start trying to swipe/slide.

I've tried to look for DIY solutions on youtube and many describe some problems with the actual screen and suggest that it should be changed.

Anyway, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks
