iPhone connects and disconnects from Mac - [SOLVED]

There have been many people having the same issue, and there were many solutions as well,

with an old thread with the original question and answers can be found here:

iPhone connects and disconnects from Mac - Apple Community

However, none of those solutions mentioned in that thread worked for me and so I wanted to put my solution here to help other people.

My issue was I wanted to copy my photos from the iPhone to my Mac Mini, using the photo app, but the iPhone 14 Pro keeps disconnecting and reconnecting continuously. The problem was caused by the Setting to Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected. So as soon as my iPhone was connected it was starting the sync process, which turns out that I cannot run both the Photo app and Sync at the same time, so the phone got disconnected. But as soon as the phone got reconnected the sync process starts again and Photo app also starts scanning the photos at the same which caused the phone to disconnect.

To resolve the issue, I unselect the option to Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected, to be able to use the Photo app.

I hope this will save someone else some frustrations and valuable time.

... and if Apple is reading this, this same issue has been around for years, and why is it still not solved?

But how to unselect the auto sync on Mac? I saw a post from Apple to disable through the finder on the iPhone, but I didn’t even see my iPhone on finder when connect and disconnect happening
