the secondary click has never worked on my macbook air trackpad

How do I right click (or secondary click) on my macbook air trackpad. It has never worked since I bought it last year.

No more light tapping to click on trackpad of new MacBook pro? I just got a 16" MacBook Pro to replace my aging Macbook Air. One thing I liked about the Air is that a light tap on the trackpad would make a "left click" (didn't have to actually click down on the pad). This doesn't seem to work on the new MacBook Pro. Is it a setting somewhere, or did they really do away with that feature?
