editing Notes with Pages.
I thought the purpose was to edit the Notes, but it only is edited in Pages, to no effect of the Notes.
Is there a push back, or default setting in Notes depending how I use it?

Not well documented. I opened the selected Notes text in Pages v13.1 (Notes File Menu : Open in Pages) made styling changes, and looked for a way to get back to Notes. Not finding one, I copied the Pages changes to the clipboard and on the Notes Edit menu, then chose Paste and Retain Style.
