Hello, I just opened a new USB SuperDrive. It does not accept the disk. I watched on YouTube how the CD Drive is supposed to accept it automatically once inserted 3/4 of the way. There seems to be something blocking it from being pulled into the apparatus. Any help is most appreciated! B
how is the superdrive connected to the Mac. if through a dock or hub, it will not work. it needs to be connected directly to the Mac. and with Macs that only have USB-C / TB3 ports, you need something like an USB-C to USB Adapter to connect it direct.

are we talking about an M1 / M2 Mac? or an intel Mac?
if M1 / M2, simply restarting may help. you could also try and Start up your Mac in safe mode and test while in safe mode.
if an intel Mac, you could try and Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
