different numbers of photos on Mac and iPhone

I finally started syncing Photos on Mac with iCloud. After two days, Mac still shows about 7,000 photos, while iPhone and iCloud show over 10,000 photos. The number of videos don't match either.

I have searched Apple Support and my issue is still not resolved. I haven't restarted the Mac again, but can try that first.

Syncing Photos on Mac and iCloud initially takes a very long time. For me, it took more than a week to sync all 11828 Photos and 2658 videos.
