If so, the iPhone either needs an upgrade, or an iPhone 6 or earlier iPhone need replacement with a newer or new iPhone, if the app requires iOS 13 or later.

Please try updating your iPhone first. Select Settings > General > Software Update. If your phone is eligible for an update, you will be prompted to do so.

Instagram requires iOS of 14.0 or higher. Unless you can update your phone past that, you will not be able to download Instagram.
