Is it possible to connect Sony WH-1000XM5 to the “Find My” app?

I made sure to buy the ones specifically made for Apple devices and find it weird that these headphones aren’t discoverable in the Find My devices app, but my FireStick is for some reason. This would be really useful to have since not Apple users will have Apple or Beats brand headphones. Does anyone know of a work around?

Your Sony headphones could potentially be considered either as a "device" or as an "item" to be located in Find My. The key for either is that Sony would have to incorporate this functionality in the headphones themselves. This is not something Apple can do.

Bob's suggestion, for using an Apple AirTag, would be a reasonable "workaround." These are considered "items" by Apple and definitely do show up in Find My.
