How do I stop the fan on my MacBook Air from spinning loudly?

Fan control on 2023 Mac Pro broken after update to 13.5? How can this happen? Mac mini m2 pro fan periodically spins loudly for no discernable reason As you can see from the attached pic, temps are all quite low (ºC) for modern semiconductors -- and yet the fan is spinning at >4000rpm. This occurs around once a month and lasts for 5-10 minutes.
