Can't delete recurring event on Calendar

Every time I delete a repeating event on my calendar, it asks me if I want to delete all future events, and I click yes. The events disappear from that month but when I go to the following month, they are still there. And then I go back to the month where I deleted it in the first place, and it has returned. And doubled.

I've tried going thru month by month and deleting them all, but a short while later, they all return. Some of them have 10-20 repetitions of the same event on the same day now.

I've tried logging out of calendar and logging back in but that didn't help.

I've attached a couple of screenshots.

I followed your instructions and the only account my calendar is connected to is iCloud. There is also a list of email accounts but none have calendar enabled. I turned calendar off for iCloud and of course, all the entries disappeared, but they all returned when I turned it back on.

Not sure what you mean by "trying a different calendar". I only have one calendar, although I do have a bunch of different colour options/names for different types of events. Perhaps those are all considered individual calendars? At any rate, the issue seems to be only for calendar events that are recurring (weekly etc) and the problem exists whenever I make a change to a recurring event, regardless of which colour calendar I use.

Not sure if I'm making myself clear. Hope that helps?

Hello kelownagurl,

The first thing we would want to do is to isolate what is causing the issue. Start by checking to see what accounts are contributing to the Calendar.

Open the Calendar app and click anywhere in it. In the upper left corner click on Calendar > Accounts. From here you should see a window with all your various internet accounts. Under each one will be listed the services being used. Look for "Calendar".

We would click on each account with "Calendar" and disable the calendars. When the events disappear, you will know which calendars is having the problem.

Once the calendar is identified, try using a different calendar and see if the same result happens.

Have a good day.
