"Settings Error The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.extensionKit.errorDomain error 15.) Mac 13.4"

In System Settings for 2019 Mac Intel MacOS 13.4 Ventura when going back from iCloud to my named Apple ID. I had been looking at Apps Using iCloud.

My question is, is that error message significant? I will send Feedback to Apple.

Thank you.

Hey Don_What,

We'd be happy to help out. Sounds like you were making some changes in System Settings of your Mac, but ran across the error, "Settings Error The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.extensionKit.errorDomain error 15.) Mac 13.4".

If this was a one time occurrence that's no longer occurring, then providing feedback would be the best thing to do using this link: Product Feedback - Apple

If the issue continues to occur, we'd suggest testing in another macOS user account to determine whether this is a system wide issue or only specific to your primary user account. Then provide that information to Apple so they can look into it a bit further. You can reach Apple Support using this link: Get Support

Take care!

Yes, also "com.apple.extensionKit.errorDomain error 15"

For me, after a reboot (system got slow) my Keyboard Maestro would not work.

Requested permission Security & Privacy,

but adding it to the list did not take.

Solution appears to be:

Reboot in Recovery.

Do First Aid on MacHD (and also Recovery partition) (and also an external drive) .

Reboot normally.

All ok now.

This is how I found the solution. I got this error message, when entering in System Preferences > Privacy & Security > Automation and every application which depended on that gave me an error.

Just redownladed the last version of macOS (ventura in my case) and reinstalled over (not clean install). After reinstalling it worked normal. If the installer gives you an error, just do the createinstallmedia on a USB stick until it makes a bootable installer, then boot from there and reinstall the system.
