2 dead Apple Watch Ultra while diving

Should the Apple Watch Ultra be advertised as a dive computer (using the Oceanic+ app)? Both my mom’s and mine have died in the middle of a dive, and out of the water are dead and won’t turn back on. Got to support the watches have to be sent in for warranty.

That is a huge hazard that can lead to serious injuries or death, as it manages decompression and despite being used as prescribed and fully charged. 2 watches a few weeks apart!

The fix for me was to send them in for replacement when back in the US. My watch is under Apple Care coverage so that worked quick and easy; my mom’s was under her regular 1-year warranty so they replaced it too. If you are past the regular warranty, unless you have additional coverage, I don’t think they will do anything unfortunately but you could try to call Apple to confirm your options.
