How can I ensure accurate calorie burn measurement with Apple Watch during Outdoor Activities?

Why when recording an outdoor walk and mowing the lawn do I burn 3x the rate of walking? Just mowed for 50 mins and burned 680 active which there’s no way

Agreed - I just did a 30 min / 1.29 mile mowing session and it says I burned just over 400 calories. There's literally no way that's true.

My best guess is that the bumpier the lawn, the more it thinks that you're doing a very vigorous activity.

While it certainly takes more effort than a standard walk, and it may be done while it's very hot out... there's no denying that this is wildly inaccurate.
