Deleting app limits in screentime doesn’t work reliably

When I remove an app limit in screen time for one of my children it sometimes reappears even through I deleted it. It seems like some kind of caching of synchronisation bug. I delete the limit, but my kids complain it is still active. When I go to check I find is actually didn’t get deleted. I have to do this a few times for it to actually take affect.

I keep deleting Screentime app limits, and they keep reappearing! I am managing a child's Screentime (on his iPad and iPhone, both running latest OS) using my own iOS and Mac OS devices. All are using the latest OS. For a while I noticed the YouTube screentime limit didn't work, even though I set the system to disable YouTube after the time limit had been reached. Eventually I deleted the time limit (this was a bucket of about 20 apps that I was limiting) and created a new one. But even after deleting a limit, it keeps reappearing. I delete it, and then I check my Screentime setting, and it's back. This has happened probably a dozen times. I turned off Screentime, turned off App Limits, deleted everything -- this time, two sets of limits I'd created. Then I turned Screentime back on and created a third set of limits (as I'd deleted the other two). Well, what do you know: Now I have THREE sets of Screentime app limits instead of the one. Ghosts are in the machine. Help!

Screen Time App Limits I believe that many people are experiencing similar problems with Screen Time. My specific issue is that my app limits don’t stay. If I set the whole category, then it sticks. But, for example, I don’t want to block all of “Entertainment”, instead I pick the apps that I need a limit on (YouTube). These apps are paired with the “Games” category.Then, at some point the YouTube limit disappears, but “Games” is still active. I wish we could just cherry pick the apps we need limited without the need for it being in a category. I have four children with limits, and it happens to all of their devices. I’ve done full resets, and no change in the app limits behavior.

Screentime settings deleting Why are the Screentime limits I am setting for my kids randomly deleted this is nothing my kids are doing this is an apple issue. there’s no consistency as to when it’s happening
