Unable to access Apple ID password on MacBook Air when I go into system settings

I just got a new MacBook Air and I am unable to access my apple id and password each time I go into system settings, apple id I get the spinning cycle and the system comes back and says it can't access it. My iphone and ipad work fine.

Unable to sign in with apple ID on mac I have purchased a new Macbook Air and am unable to sign in with my apple ID. I am able to sign in and out of my apple ID on my iPhone with no issue. I am using the exact same password and email as username. Everytime i try and sign into my apple ID via the "Settings" on Macbook Air it just keeps taking me back to the sign in screen, there's no error message or reason provided as to why it didn't accept my login credentials. mac keeps asking for apple ID Within system preferences it keeps asking me to login my apple id password, iphone passcode & ipad passcode, this happens for hours, can anyone help?

Does your computer have Internet access? Is it actually connected?

I have the same problem, and mine is connected to the internet.
