I have a Brother Printer DCP-T420w and running Microsoft 365 on a Macbook with Mac OS 13. I can only print to the DCP-T420w using the Brother iPrint&Scan App which only allows me to print JPEG and PDF files.
I can’t print anything from MS Word, Excel or Powerpoint. Is there a solution for this?

Two things come to mind. Make sure you have updated to the most recent version of Ventura 13.4. Also, I notice that Brother has updated their firmware for this printer. Have you updated that as well as insuring your drivers are up to date?

Same situation here. Running Ventura 13.4 (22F66). The printer firmware is up to date. Brother drivers are also up to date. The Brother DCP-T420W does not support AirPrint (or is it that Apple does not support the printer) so we are directed to use Brother iPrint&Scan. iPrint only shows Photos (jpg) and PDF as options.
I posted a link to a driver that works with MacOS It was provided by Brother Thailand. Apple Community makes it nearly impossible to post a link.
This is a design limitation of the Brother iPrint&Scan app.
