thin black lines on left of screen

I have an Iphone XR. On the top left of the screen about 1/4 inch under the time, i have what seems like 9 or 10 very small horizontal lines, that take up about 1/4 of space vertically. These are not on my screen protector. They stay if I switch backgrounds. They do not move if i swipe left or right. Almost like they are part of the display. Now here is the weird part. The bottom most line seems to stretch across the screen in relation to my battery charge. If it take a screen shot, they are not visible on the picture. The seem like some sort of diagnostic thing.

Any ideas? thanks for the replies in advance.
