Cannot record voice messages in iMessage

I can no longer record voice messages in iMessage. I read through many help options and none of them applied. It just does nothing when I hold the mic button to record the voice message. Help please. 😎

Do you have Sound Recognition turned on at Settings > Accessibility > Sound Recognition?

If so, try shutting it off.

Ooops user error. I didn’t realize it moved to the iMessage toolbar.
