I recently updated my Mac to Ventura and have been having an issue when using a wired USB keyboard. Everytime my computer goes to sleep and I start it back up, my keyboard doesn't work. I've tried different keyboards, cables, and ports but nothing works. The issue is only solved after I restart the computer. This is very annoying to keep doing multiple times a day.

Are you using plugging the keyboard directly into the MacBook or are you using a USB hub? I'd check to insure the keyboards you are attempting to use are in fact compatible with Apple Products or Macs in general. Maybe try a bluetooth keyboard?
I have a similar issue, but not involving the use of a dock. when I wake my m1pro laptop running 13.4.1c, the keyboard works, command-tab to appswitch takes about 2-3 minutes to kick in, turn on my apple bluetooth keyboard, the process starts over, and wait 2-3 minutes to be able to appswitch. plug in my Thunderbolt display and close the lid, once again need to wait 2-3 minutes to be able to appswitch. typing by manually selecting an app window works as expected. not sure if this is related to this.
Only idea I have is an SMC Reset.
I tried this and am still having the same issue.
System settings, Accessibilty, Keyboard, Motor, Keyboard..... turn full keyboard access OFF.
Tried this as well, still no success.
My keyboard is plugged into a usb hub which is then going into my Mac. I've used this same combination of keyboard and hub for over 2 years now and have had no issues until I upgraded to Ventura.
It's been reported that in Ventura, USB hubs are or can be problematic. Especially those not powered by an external power supply.
Oh that's unfortunate. Would the best fix right now to have a compatible dock with external power? Or should I wait till the next update?
FWIW, I have no problem with a Satechi non-powered hub connected to my iMac Pro with a number of third-party USB keyboards. It may just be an issue with the particular hub you are using.
