Shortcut to turn notification on/off for specific apps on my iPhone 13 mini? (iOS 16.5)

Is there is a simple method to turn on/off notifications for specific apps? Can I set up a shortcut for this? Specifically at times I wish to receive notifications from Outlook & Teams and at other times not. Currently I go into Notifications, then into each app and toggle on/off depending. Would be great if I can accomplish this with one or two taps. Thanks.

Hello allenm,

Going to Settings > Notifications and turning the toggle switch on or off for an app would be the way to turn off notifications.

If you want to use certain notifications at certain times, something that may be more beneficial for you would be to use the Focus feature on your device. With Focus, you can set which notifications you do or don't receive and can quickly switch between different focus modes. For example, you can create a "work" Focus where you'll get notifications from Outlook, Teams, and whatever other apps you want but turn off notifications you don't want. Then you can create a "personal" Focus that disables notifications for Outlook and Teams, but still sends you notifications from whatever other apps you allow.

You can use these steps to start setting up and customizing a Focus:

1. Go to Settings > Focus.
2. Tap a provided Focus option—like Do Not Disturb, Personal, Sleep, or Work—then tap Customize Focus.
3. Set up your Focus. You can select allowed or silenced notifications from people and apps, connect your Lock Screen or Home Screen, have this Focus turn on automatically, and add Focus filters.

Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!
