Hi, is there any way to get rid of the black or white horizontal line that appears at the bottom of the iphone 12 pro max screen when you have pages or photos open please? I know you have to swipe up to come off a page so I don't need a line at the bottom of the screen too

If you are specifically referring to the swipe indicator line right in the middle of the bottom, then there is not a means to remove that. It's a default feature of the operating system.
