My new Mac mini m2 doesn't recognize my new Dell monitor C2722DE Qhd 2650 resolution, not 4K.
I hooked it up properly with HDMI cables, I don't know if they are high-speed. The monitor doesn't do anything.
I have a mouse hooked up and a keyboard.
What is the problem the mac does nothing onscreen.

Dell indicates that the monitor has several video inputs: a HDMI port, a DisplayPort, and a USB-C upstream (DisplayPort in) port. (Not to be confused with the montor's downstream USB-C port.)
If you want to use the monitor's downstream USB-A, USB-C, and Ethernet ports, you can either
A HDMI-to-HDMI connection should work even if you haven't made a USB-A to USB-B one (to hook up the monitor's downstream USB and Ethernet ports).
I wonder if the solution might be as simple as using the controls on the monitor to change the Input Source. Perhaps the Auto Select feature (page 70) is not enabled by default, and the monitor is looking for input on another port (its USB-C upstream port, or its DisplayPort).
That would result in a blank screen (or a not connected message, not sure which). But it would be trivial to remedy.

Use HDMI cables 3’ (1m) or shorter. Do not connect the monitor’s USB C port to the Mac’s Thunderbolt port; connect it instead to the Mac’s USB-A port with a C-A adaptor.
Thanks for the quick response. The HDMI cable is under 3' and I have not connected any other ports except the mouse using USB and the same for the keyboard.
Try another cable? If possible, test the monitor on another computer. It should work!
