Macbook Air Problems

For some time now my MacBook air(Bought in 2013) somehow lost its abilities to connect with bluetooth. The icon is visible but it's has an line across it, indicating it is can't be accessed. I don't even see the bluetooth icon in my system preferences. Has the happened to anybody before?

Hi there!

See if the issue continues while in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support. Safe mode can help you to determine whether an issue is caused by software that loads as your Mac starts up.

Also, I'd recommend you use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac. Apple Diagnostics, formerly known as Apple Hardware Test, can check your Mac for hardware issues.
