iPhone Files app and MacBook Air not syncing

iPhone 13 mini

MacBook Air M1 (A2337)

I've been trying to add a file to my Files app on my iPhone. It says it's there but when I check my Mac, it isn't. I've tried restarting both devices, checking if iCloud is enabled, and nothing works.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.5

Are you signed in on both devices with the same exact Apple ID? You need to be.

Sign out of your Apple ID on all devices then sign back in on all using the same exact Apple ID. Synchronization is via the Apple ID but you have to give it time. Nothing happens instantaneously.

And of course have iCloud Drive active on all.
