Differentiate outdoor runs between road and trail.
I want to be able to send my outdoor run workout on my Apple Watch to Strava and have it know if it’s a trail run or a road run. Is this possible?

I agree, it would be great if apple could include this in their next update, as I want to track my gear usage on Strava and I run both road and trail… my stats for my shoes will be wrong! 😳

Hey there Ohmyjoshhh,
Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.
It doesn't look like there is a way to differentiate the terrain you are on for a particular run, however we would encourage you to leave feedback for this by heading here: Product Feedback - Apple. Leaving feedback is going to be the best way to let the developers of future watchOS updates know that this is something you would like to see incorporated. The more folks who let Apple know about these types of feature requests, the better chance of seeing a feature like that in a future watchOS update.
In the meantime, this article has some great information on going on a run with your watch, so we want to recommend checking that out as well: Run with your Apple Watch - Apple Support
We hope that this information is helpful.
Have a great day!
