Make sure that your iPhone is setup to meet the following requirements before you attempt to update the iOS version over a Wi-Fi Network. Open Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Software Update: If there is an update available for your iPhone then it will be listed here. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and update your iPhone.

  • Your iPhone must have a fast Wi-Fi connection; you cannot update over cellular data or a cellular hotspot
  • Ensure that you do not have a beta profile installed from a previous version
  • The iPhone can not be in Low Power mode
  • The battery state of charge must be above 50%
  • Your iPhone must have at least 8GB or more free storage space
  • Your iPhone cannot be connected through VPN
  • You should leave the phone plugged in until it finishes updating, both to assure that it remains above 50% and to keep Wi-Fi enabled (Wi-Fi turns off when the phone sleeps if not connected to power).

If you’re having trouble updating your iPhone 11 to the latest iOS version, there could be several reasons why. Here are some common issues and how to resolve them:

1. Check Your Internet Connection: iOS updates need a strong Wi-Fi connection to download and install. Ensure you’re connected to Wi-Fi and the connection is stable.

2. Free Up Space: The update might not be able to install due to lack of storage space on your iPhone. You can check your available storage in Settings > General > iPhone Storage. If necessary, free up some space by deleting unused apps, photos, or other files.

3. Battery Level: Your iPhone needs to have sufficient battery level (more than 50% or connected to a charger) to update.

4. Restart Your iPhone: Sometimes, restarting your device can solve update issues. Hold down the side button and either volume button, then slide to power off. After the device has powered off, hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.

5. Update Using Your Computer: If you still can’t update your iPhone, you can try updating it using your computer. Connect your iPhone to your computer, open Finder, select your iPhone when it appears, and then click “Check for Update.”
