How to change flag order (back to normal) in Mail on Ventura?

Both Apple Mail (flags) and Finder (tags) fail to list their respective colors in their proper enum order. Swift and Objective-C know the proper order as:

0 none, 1 grey, 2 green, 3 purple, 4 blue, 5 yellow, 6 red, 7 orange

It would appear that both the Apple Mail and macOS product teams are straying from the truth…

Personally, I've been using Macs for 30+ years. I currently have 7 here at home. Until your post, I never noticed the flag colors were in a different order, so I guess the order wasn't important to me. And, I've only been on here for 8 years, so your post was the first I've seen that found it relevant.

Perhaps your report will change things. I probably won't notice that either. 😎

If it bothers you, you can drag the flags in the Finder to match the order of those in Mail.
