Connection Insecure

I changed my password for my gmail account but when I try to update on my MacBook Pro ((13-inch, Mid2012) running High Sierra version 10.13.6 I get the following message "Connection Insecure.........Failed to verify the server certificate. This could be because of your network configuration or your proxy settings." How can I fix this?

Can't add Google or Yahoo email accounts to Internet Accounts pane. Running High Sierra (max OS for my old hardware). Mail app started prompting me for a couple account passwords out of the blue, but kept giving me errors before I could even get to the password field to re-enter them (sorry I didn't save a screenshot). I removed the accounts entirely with the intent to add them back in from scratch. In SystemPreferences>InternetAccounts> when I choose the "Google" or "Yahoo" account set up option, I get the following error: "Connection Insecure / Failed to verify the server certificate. This could be because of your network configuration or your proxy settings." I tried this over two different internet connections with the same result.

Mail > Connection Insecure I cannot access 1 of my 2 Google accounts, on Mail for Mac! I keep getting: "Connection Insecure, Failed to verify the server certificate. This could be because of your network configuration or your proxy settings". I don't have any anti-virus software, nor plugins etc. and I deleted 1 Certificate from the Keychain, restarted the Mac, but nothing works. And all 'Veri' Certificates are set to "Use System Defaults". I strongly believe (in my casse) it has nothing to do with proxy settings, because my other Google account works fine on Mail for Mac and I can access both Google accounts on my Mail for iPhone, or a browser on the laptop (but it's a pain)! In the end, I went to Security on my Google account and revoked the 'Trusted device', but still nothing works!? I also deleted the account and tried to add again and no luck :( What else can be done here, please? TIA.

Error adding Gmail to Mac I changed my password on my gmail account using my iphone. When I turned on my iMac it wouldn't let me change the password. Errror message : Connection Insecure - Failed to verify the server certificate. This could be because of your network configuration or your proxy settings. I deleted my mail account from the @accounts. When trying to add it back it gave me the same message. When I tried to add it back using "Add Other Account" it didn't give me that message it gave me this: Unable to verify account name or password. I have 2 other gmail accounts in the mail app working fine...it is an access problem between the iMac and Google. What protocols need to be changed. I am running Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 [Re-Titled by Moderator]
