How do I stop notes opening automatically when I switch on my Mac?

I have a few things opening up when I start my Mac, but they are not listed in the log in item list.

Go to System Settings, General, Login Items. Then from the list on the right under, Open at Login, Select Notes, then click the minus sign under the list.

That's all quite silly as none of those would open Notes unless you installed some system modification that opens Notes. I would hope you would have remembered that.

Well, at least that one is possible and I have seen it get corrupted.

No, it's not open when I restart the computer.

Are you sure? As noted below, the red dot does not Quit Notes.

Are you unchecking the box to reopen applications when you restart?
