I’m looking for just the number and times of texts messages. Not the content how far back can I go ? Hoping for 24 months

If you set your Settings>Messages>Keep Messages as "Forever", and if you don't delete them, and if you have enough storage on your device... text messages stay on your iPhone.

There has to be away to track number of text’s between two numbers
