Red light while charging AirPods case with AirPods in it

My AirPods case shows red blinking light while on charge and AirPods inserted in it

looks like the AirPods don’t charge but the case is charging

when I use the airpods with another case which works well, it has same issue

is there a way to decode the blinking light pattern and resolve the issue

i tried resetting the AirPod with hard reset using the setup button but the white and amber light do not appear

so setting the AirPods is not working and not an optipn

The red blinking light on your AirPods case typically indicates a charging issue or an issue with the AirPods themselves. Here are some potential solutions to try:

  1. Check your connections: Ensure your charging cable and power adapter are working properly. You can do this by testing them with another device.
  2. Clean your AirPods and case: Dust or debris in the charging case or on the AirPods can interfere with charging. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the AirPods and the charging case, especially the charging ports and connectors.
  3. Check for physical damage: If your AirPods or case have sustained any physical damage, they may not charge properly.
  4. Reset your AirPods: I see that you've already tried resetting your AirPods. However, please ensure that you're following the correct process:
    • Put your AirPods in the charging case and close the lid.
    • Wait 15 seconds, then open the lid.
    • Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until you see the status light flash amber a few times, then flash white.

If the reset process isn't working and you're not seeing the white and amber lights, there may be an issue with your AirPods or your case.

Troubleshoot the AirPods' Charge:

A. A Few Links to Visit:

B. Try the Following Tasks:

  • Hold Down the Button on the case for about 15 seconds.

  • Use an Apple Brand Cable - not a third party one - cool though it may look, a fabric, third-part cable would likely tear - (Apple cable's are plastic and are intended for Apple)

  • Remove the AirPod from the Case, then place it back in the charger. Perhaps it need to resync with he charger.
