Unable to find screenshots taken on MacBook Pro

When I take a screenshot on a macbook, the photo is not saved anywhere, but the sound of the snapshot is there. The only place where a screenshot sometimes appears after the snapshot is in the clipboard.There is no information about this problem on the Internet.What could be the problem?
